Frank, a cheerful postman in his fifties, always volunteered to deliver letters to the older ladies on Maple Street.
They offered him homemade cookies, strong coffee, and compliments his wife hadn’t given him since their honeymoon.
One afternoon, 78-year-old widow Dorothy opened her door wearing a silk dressing gown.
“Come in, handsome,” she said. “I’ve got something hot waiting for you.”
Frank blushed. “Coffee?”
“For now,” Dorothy winked.
Over coffee, she leaned closer.
“Tell me, Frank… do you believe an older woman can still give a man the time of his life?”
“Absolutely!”
“And would you know what to do if I asked you to stay all afternoon?”
Frank loosened his collar. “I think I could rise to the occasion.”
“Wonderful!” Dorothy said, handing him a screwdriver.
“The bed squeaks terribly.”
Frank grinned. “Planning to put it to good use?”
“Oh, yes. My boyfriend’s coming tonight.”
“Your boyfriend?! Then why did you invite me?”
Dorothy patted his cheek.
“Darling, he’s 82. I’m saving his energy—and you’re the only man around here who still delivers six days a week!”😂🤣
