She Charged Her Husband for Housework—Then He Applied for a Family Discount!

At Sunday dinner, Linda announced that she was retiring from doing everything around the house.

“From tomorrow, I’m charging. Laundry, ten dollars. Cooking, twenty. Cleaning up after your father, fifty.”

Her husband, Bob, lowered his fork.

“Fifty? What makes me so expensive?”

“Thirty years of evidence.”

Their grown children laughed.

Bob folded his arms. “Fine. I’ll start charging too. Fixing things, twenty dollars. Carrying groceries, ten. Killing spiders, five.”

Linda nodded. “Excellent. Your account is currently worth five dollars.”

“What about the shelf I fixed?”

“It leans.”

“The groceries?”

“You left them in the car.”

“The spider?”

“Our granddaughter killed it. You held the flashlight and screamed.”

Determined to prove his value, Bob spent Monday cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, and preparing dinner.

That evening, he handed Linda an invoice.

Household services: $85.

Linda inspected the sparkling kitchen and smiled.

“Well, this deserves a reward.”

Bob straightened his collar. “Something romantic?”

“Close your eyes.”

He obeyed eagerly.

She slipped something into his hand.

He opened his eyes.

“A hundred-dollar bill! You’re giving me a tip?”

“No. I’m paying in advance for tomorrow.”

Bob sighed. “I was hoping we might rekindle the spark.”

Linda kissed his cheek.

“Darling, you’ve just discovered where the spark has been hiding. Under the laundry.”😂🤣
