Mama Wanted Texas Weddings—Papa Wanted Separate Addresses

After moving from Mexico to Texas, Rosa and Miguel decided they loved their new home so much that they hoped their three adult daughters would marry local men.

Rosa took charge of matchmaking.

Every Sunday, she invited another eligible Texan to dinner. Within a month, the table was surrounded by cowboy hats, polished boots, and enough flirting to make Miguel eat on the porch.

One evening, their eldest daughter brought home a handsome rancher.

“I own two hundred acres,” he announced. “And I like a woman who knows how to take charge.”

Rosa immediately pointed at her daughter. “She’s been managing this family since she was twelve.”

The second daughter’s boyfriend said, “I’ve got a house with a big swimming pool.”

Rosa smiled. “Wonderful! She already has six swimsuits and absolutely no interest in swimming.”

Then the youngest daughter introduced her boyfriend.

“I don’t have a ranch or a pool,” he admitted, “but I’ve bought a little house three hours away.”

Miguel jumped up and shook his hand.

“Finally! A man with something to offer!”

Rosa gasped. “You prefer him over the wealthy ones?”

Miguel whispered, “Darling, you’re looking for sons-in-law. I’m looking for a honeymoon we can finally finish.”😂🤣
