Three retired friends—Betty, Joan, and Ruth—were enjoying margaritas at a Florida beach bar when a handsome man in his sixties walked past.
Betty straightened her necklace. “If he asks, I’m fifty-five.”
Joan touched up her lipstick. “I’m fifty.”
Ruth, eighty-two, smiled. “I’m eighty-two.”
Her friends stared at her.
“Ruth!” Betty whispered. “You’re supposed to knock a few years off!”
“Why? At my age, looking this good is an achievement.”
The man approached their table.
“Ladies, may I buy someone a drink?”
Betty fluttered her eyelashes. Joan crossed her legs. Ruth pulled out the empty chair beside her.
He sat down and asked Ruth, “What’s your secret to staying so young?”
“Good friends, afternoon naps, and never chasing a man.”
“A woman with self-control,” he said admiringly.
“Oh, no, honey. I just park near his car.”😂🤣
