A married couple stopped at a roadside diner after a long drive.
Their waitress, Rosie, arrived with two menus and a smile.
“What can I get you?”
The husband leaned back, sucked in his stomach, and winked.
“Something hot, sweet, and guaranteed to keep me awake tonight.”
His wife lowered her menu.
“Bring him the bill. That usually does it.”
Rosie laughed, but the husband wasn’t finished.
“You know, if I were twenty years younger, I’d ask for your number.”
“If you were twenty years younger,” his wife said, “you’d still need me to find your phone.”
Rosie took their orders and returned with the coffee.
The husband pointed at her name tag.
“Rosie. Beautiful name. Are you married?”
“No, sir.”
“Boyfriend?”
“No, sir.”
He grinned. “So nobody waiting for you at home?”
“Just a large dog with trust issues.”
His wife nodded. “Keep him. You’ve already got everything marriage offers.”
When Rosie brought the food, the husband tried one last time.
“Tell me honestly—what would it take for a handsome man like me to sweep you off your feet?”
Rosie looked him over.
“At this point? A wet floor.”
His wife laughed so hard she nearly spilled her coffee.
Finally, Rosie placed the bill on the table. The husband paid and wrote his phone number beneath the tip.
His wife quietly took the receipt, crossed out the number, and doubled the tip.
Outside, he folded his arms.
“Was that really necessary?”
“Absolutely.”
“You tipped her forty dollars just because I flirted?”
“Of course not,” his wife said. “She’s agreed to keep you entertained every Saturday while I go shopping.”😂🤣
