Indian police security concerns, sudden change in the World Cup schedule possible

MUMBAI Aug 20 (Online): Due to the ineligibility of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) in the ICC World Cup scheduled in India, there is a possibility of changing the schedule once again.

According to Indian media reports, the local police have raised their hands due to security concerns and said that they cannot provide security for 2 consecutive days if there is no break during the matches. In this regard, the Hyderabad Cricket Association and the Indian Cricket Board (BC CI) has been informed.

A match between New Zealand and Netherlands is scheduled on October 9 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, while on October 10, the Pakistani team will face Sri Lanka.
The local police have expressed special security concerns on the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Earlier, the national team has postponed its World Cup schedule, which was to play its second match against Sri Lanka on October 12. It was scheduled for October 10, but now due to security issues, the possibility of change is gaining momentum.

On the other hand, the match between Pakistan and India, which was scheduled on October 15, will now be played in Ahmedabad on October 14, while the match between Pakistan and the Netherlands will be played in Hyderabad on October 6.

India will change the schedule. This was done citing logistical issues and the advent of religious festivals.
