Quetta: Six security personnel were injured after gunmen opened fire on the security squad of Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Zia Langau in Mastung.
According to the additional deputy commissioner of Mastung, the minister’s security convoy came under attack while travelling from Kalat to Quetta. Security personnel returned fire following the assault.
Six members of the security squad were injured in the ensuing exchange of fire.
Reacting to the incident, Langau said the “cowardly attack” in Mastung would not weaken their resolve.
“I cannot be intimidated by such firecrackers. Pakistan was, is and will always remain Zindabad,” he said.
