Atlana: New details have emerged following reports that Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez married in a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends on August 11.
According to foreign media reports, the couple’s marriage documents show that they opted for a separate property regime. Under the arrangement, both will retain individual ownership of their personal wealth, income and investments.
Under Portuguese law, assets acquired either before or during the marriage would not automatically become jointly owned. Similarly, there would be no automatic division of property in the event of divorce.
A Portuguese magazine has claimed that, in the event of separation or divorce, Georgina would receive approximately €100,000 per month in financial support from Ronaldo.
The couple’s luxury residence in Madrid’s La Finca neighbourhood would also reportedly remain in Georgina’s ownership. The property is said to be worth more than $5.6 million.
