Shahroz Sabzwari reveals why Syra Yousuf signed ‘Babylicious’

LAHORE 29 Dec (Online): Fans are anxiously waiting for the Syra Yousuf and Shahroz Sabzwari starrer Babylicious to swoon them away this Valentine’s Day after the romantic teaser released earlier this week. But a romantic film isn’t complete without a love anthem, is it? Mann Ranjhan, the song that made Yousuf say yes to the film, comes out tomorrow!

A video posted on the film’s official account sees Yousuf and Sabzwari get all excited about the song’s release. “Are you all ready for the Love Anthem of 2023? Releasing tomorrow at 6pm,” read the caption.

Dressed in a casual hoodie and sweatpants, Sabzwari, while turning on the track says, “Ah, I can’t wait for people to listen to this song. I first heard this song in 2017.” He then went on to tell how Mann Ranjhan made the Sinf-e-Aahan actor sign the film. “I still remember that Syra wasn’t finalised for the movie back then. She wasn’t sure of her character but after listening to this song, she said, ‘i don’t care whatever the character is, I want to do this movie’.”

With the mellow music still in the background, the camera shifts to Syra detailing how this song reminded her of the old-school romantic charm. “I remember I used to listen to a lot of music with my dad when I was younger. We used to listen to a lot of old songs and they had this melody that I felt was missing from our music for a while,” she said. But with this film and this song, she found that missing melody and we can’t wait to hear it already!
