After her husband Frank retired, Linda decided their marriage needed a little excitement.
She hung a calendar on the refrigerator and announced, “Tuesday is date night. Thursday is dancing. Saturday is reserved for romance.”
Frank studied it over his coffee.
“Every Saturday?”
“Absolutely,” Linda said. “Dress nicely, say something flattering, and try to surprise me.”
That Saturday, Frank appeared in a suit, carrying roses and a bottle of champagne.
Linda blushed. “Well! Somebody’s taking retirement seriously.”
He kissed her hand. “You look so beautiful, I’d marry you all over again.”
“Keep talking,” she whispered, pulling him closer.
Frank reached into his jacket and handed her a folded sheet of paper.
“What’s this?”
“My proposal for a second romantic evening each week.”
Linda grinned. “Frank! I didn’t know you had it in you!”
“Oh, I’m willing,” he said. “But since Saturday is my regular shift, I expect time and a half.”
She took the champagne and smiled.
“Approved. But remember, sweetheart—you’re still on probation, and I’m interviewing other contractors.”😂🤣
