At a hotel bar in London, American widow Diane, 64, was enjoying a cocktail with her British friend, Carol.
A handsome silver-haired gentleman approached.
“May I buy you another drink?” he asked Diane.
“You may,” she said. “But I should warn you—I’ve reached the age where I expect honesty.”
“Then honestly,” he said, lowering his voice, “I’ve got the stamina of a man half my age.”
Carol raised an eyebrow.
He moved closer. “I dance. I cook. And with the right woman, I can keep going all night.”
Diane smiled. “That sounds promising.”
Just then, his smartwatch beeped.
He glanced at it and quickly covered the screen.
“What was that?” Diane asked.
“Nothing important.”
It beeped again.
Carol leaned over. “Oh, do read it out. We’re all friends here.”
He reluctantly lifted his wrist.
“You’ve been standing for three minutes. Would you like to record a workout?”
Diane took a slow sip of her cocktail.
“Darling, forget keeping me up all night. Let’s see whether you can make it to the bar without earning a medal.”😂🤣
