Punjab caretaker govt allots 16 new bomb disposal vehicles

LAHORE July 28 (Online): Interim government of Punjab led by Mohsin Naqvi has handed over 16 new bomb disposal response vehicles equipped with latest devices to bomb disposal squad to counter subversive activities.

Vehicles are worth of 160.27 million pkr.

Caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi handed over new bomb disposal vehicles to bomb disposal squad commanders in civil secretariat.

Earlier Moshin Naqvi inspected the latest equipment and bomb disposal response vehicles. He also appreciated the step to arm bomb disposal squad with latest equipment.

Mohsin Naqvi said in current situation civil defence importance increased then before. Modern equipment and new response vehicle will increase the ability of bomb disposal squad.

He also directed to arrange the training of bomb disposal squad for latest equipment.

In briefing, it was informed that vehicle were allotted to Bhakkar, Chiniot, Gujarat, Hafiz Abad, Jehlum, Khaniwal, Khushaab, Leyyah, Mandi Bahudin, Muzaffargarh, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Pakpattan, Sheikhupur, Tobatek singh, and Vehari districts.

Additional Chief Secretary interior, director civil defence and interior authorities were present on this occasion.
