LAHORE Aug 26 (Online): CTD have arrested 8 terrorists while conducting an Intelligence-based operation in various cities of Punjab.
CTD spokesperson said that operations have carried out in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Multan.
Two important commanders of Al-Qaeda, Kashan and Hassan have been arrested from Lahore.
According to spokesperson, explosive materials, detonators, mobile phones, safety fuse and cash have also been recovered from the terrorists.
According to spokesperson, terrorists have been identified as Liaqat, Hassan, Kashan, Gul Kareem, Ayub Khan Ameer Muawiya and Rizwan.
CDA spokesperson said that cases have been registered against the terrorists and the investigation is underway.
According to CDA spokesperson, 135 suspects were arrested during 336 combing operations this week. 16784 people have been interrogated in combing operations.
Spokesperson said that CTD is following the goal of safe Punjab and are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism.
