ANP Chief recalls sacrifices of APS victims, stresses implementation of NAP

PESHAWAR, Dec 16 (APP):Central President Awami National Party (ANP), Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that innocents who sacrificed their lives on the altar of terrorism in the Army Public School (APS) incident on December 16 will always be remembered and revered in our memories.

In a message issued in connection with the APS tragedy, he said that innocent children and teachers who were brutally killed by militants would always be remembered. He also recalled the sacrifices of ANP in the war against terror and said that “more than 1200 party workers who laid their lives for the country during the reign of militancy still live in our hearts and memories.”
Asfandyar Wali stressed implementing the National Action Plan (ANP) in its true spirit to control militancy adding that militants are regrouping and targeting law enforcers and innocents which is a matter of grave concern for all of us.

He suggested steps to eliminate militancy and those who are facilitating enemies of the country and maintained we should devise a plan to change the mindset of extremists and counter their narrative. He said that strict implementations of previous decisions are needed to wipe out militancy once and for all.
