BLA Factions Clash Intensifies After Reported Killing of Senior Figure

Quetta – A serious internal conflict has reportedly erupted within the banned militant outfit Baloch Liberation Army following the killing of Hayat Khan, identified as the elder brother of a senior BLA social media handler known as “Bahot.”

According to sources, Hayat Khan was allegedly killed by members linked to the Bashir Zeb faction of the BLA during a violent dispute over control, authority, and influence within the organization. The incident is being described as part of an escalating power struggle among rival factions operating inside the militant network.

The tensions reportedly intensified after elements associated with the Baloch Republican Army allegedly kidnapped the Vice Chancellor of University of Gwadar earlier today. Sources claim the abduction was carried out at the behest of “Bahot,” a move seen by insiders as a direct challenge to the authority of Bashir Zeb.

Reports further suggest that the kidnapping may have been linked to a tribal feud involving the Vice Chancellor’s wife’s family and the families of Bahot and Hayat Khan, indicating that the matter may have had personal dimensions beyond militant politics.

However, insiders allege that the abduction operation had not been approved by Bashir Zeb, prompting what is being described as an immediate and brutal retaliatory response from his faction.

Security observers warn that the growing internal rift could lead to further targeted killings, retaliatory attacks, and violent confrontations between rival factions in the coming days as the struggle for dominance within the militant outfit deepens.
