Raj Kundra tests positive for Covid-19, trolled for contracting virus even after wearing masks

ISLAMABAD, March 30 (Online): Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was in the news today for allegedly testing positive for Covid-19.

According to reports, the businessman has become the latest celebrity to test positive for the virus. Over the past few days, several actors have taken to social media to announce that they have contracted the virus. Many also asked fans to take precautions while stepping out.

On hearing the news of Raj testing positive, some netizens commented in disbelief, “Itni safety ke baad bhi Covid?

Many trolled the star for contracting the virus despite wearing a number of masks, every time he steps out. “I thought he was gonna be the last man on earth to get covid but then,” read a post.

Another said, “Itnaa mask penne ke badd bhi?”

“Pure body me mask pehen ke bhi covid,” said another.

Since his alleged involvement in the recent pornography case, Raj has been making public appearances while sporting various masks and head gear that covers his face. Revealing the reason for donning a number of face masks, Raj said, “I am not wearing it for the public just don’t wish to give media a chance to click my face! I am hurt by the media trial they put me through.”

Over the past week, several actors have taken to social media to reveal that they have tested positive for the virus. ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress Mahhi Vij, said she is taking all the precautions and staying away from her kids.

Pooja Bhatt, on the other hand, shared in a post, “And exactly 3 yrs later, I have tested positive for the first time. Mask up people! Covid is still very much around & can get to you despite being fully vaccinated. Hopefully I shall be back on my feet soon.”

Actor and politician Kirron Kher also tested positive for Covid-19. She tweeted, “I have tested positive for Covid. So anyone who has come in contact with me please get yourself tested.”

India has seen a spike in new COVID-19 cases over the past weeks, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced in a public statement.
