DHIRKOT/MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH (PID AJK) On the notice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, power supply to Dhirkot was restored within 18 hours.
On the direction of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, the staff of the Department of Electricity remained in the field till the restoration of power, while the senior officers of the Department of Electricity have been monitoring the whole process and keeping the Prime Minister’s Office informed of the situation.
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir yesterday expressed anger over the failure of the power supply in Dhirkot and directed the Electricity Department to restore power supply immediately.
The power supply of Dhirkot region was disrupted due to heavy snowfall in Murree last week and power lines were also severely damaged.
The people of Dhirkot area have thanked the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir for taking notice of the suspension of power supply and restoring power within 18 hours after taking notice.
