Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving regional situation.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region. Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and exercising restraint in line with the agreed memorandum of understanding, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective path toward achieving lasting peace and stability.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through diplomatic engagement.
During the conversation, both foreign ministers also agreed to maintain close contact and continue consultations on regional developments.
