Iran Claims Strikes on U.S. Military Facilities Across Gulf Following Latest American Attacks

Tehran: Iran has claimed to have launched coordinated attacks against U.S. military facilities in Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait following the latest U.S. strikes on Iranian targets.

According to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iranian forces carried out what it described as a “powerful and surprise” attack on logistics support centers and refueling platforms at the Port of Duqm in Oman, facilities that it said were used to support U.S. aircraft carriers.

Iran also claimed to have fired ballistic missiles at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, alleging that a combat aircraft maintenance and repair center as well as a command-and-control facility were destroyed.

The Iranian military further claimed to have targeted Patriot air defense systems, weapons depots, and radar installations used by U.S. forces in Kuwait and Bahrain.

In addition, Iran said it struck the U.S. command-and-control system and an MQ-9 drone hangar at Sultan Hassan Air Base in Jordan.

The claims were made after reports of fresh U.S. attacks on Iran. At the time of reporting, there was no immediate independent verification of Iran’s claims regarding the extent of the damage or the reported strikes.
