Prohibited funding confiscation case: EC accepts PTI counsel plea for giving time

ISLAMABAD, June 06 (Online): Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja has remarked hard times come on political parties in Pakistan and there is no need to be worried too much over it.

During the hearing of show cause notice related to PTI prohibited funding confiscation case, Anwar Mansoor counsel for PTI said situation has been made very difficult for the political party. The matter is highly serious at present. The unknown persons have taken away our all record from our office. PTI offices are closed and office bearers are escaping.

The counsel Anwar Mansoor requested the EC to grant him time for one month more saying he is trying to acquire record through different sources. What arguments can I give in the absence of the record?

CEC said this case pertains to confiscation of prohibited funding. EC has announced the decision about central case on the basis of facts. Go to respective forum if you have to challenge the decision of central case.

The EC accepted the plea for granting more time to Anwar Mansoor.

The EC while giving more four weeks to file reply adjourned the hearing of the case till July 06.
