ISLAMABAD: Patron-in-Chief of the Pak-Africa Council, Ambassador Hamid Khan signed a strategic partnership agreement with Nyle Group Ethiopia during his official visit to Ethiopia, marking a new step toward strengthening business and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Africa region.
The signing ceremony was held in Addis Ababa in the presence of Ambassador of Pakistan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Union, H.E. Atif Sharif Mian. Mr. Feng Qiang, President of the Shenzhen Government Procurement Association and Chairman of the Industrial Globalization Alliance, also witnessed the agreement, said a release issued here on Monday.
Nyle Group is a business development organization with a venture capital affiliate based in Mauritius.
The partnership is expected to provide a platform for exploring opportunities in business development, investment, trade and cross-border cooperation between Pakistani and Ethiopian stakeholders.
Ambassador Hamid Khan emphasized the importance of developing stronger economic and commercial links between Pakistan and African countries.
He said the Pak-Africa Council was committed to promoting meaningful partnerships that could connect businesses, investors and institutions across the two regions.
He highlighted Ethiopia’s growing importance as a gateway to the African market and stressed the potential for greater cooperation in sectors where Pakistani businesses and African partners can complement each other.
The participation of Pakistan’s ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union in the ceremony underscored the importance of private-sector engagement in strengthening bilateral economic relations.
The presence of Mr. Feng Qiang further added an international dimension to the event, reflecting broader efforts to promote global trade, industrial cooperation and investment linkages.
The strategic partnership is expected to facilitate further dialogue between businesses and investors while creating opportunities for joint ventures and market expansion.
Ambassador Hamid Khan’s visit comes as Pakistan continues to explore stronger economic engagement with African countries. The Pak-Africa Council has sought to encourage greater interaction between Pakistani enterprises and African markets through business networking, investment promotion and institutional cooperation.
The agreement with Nyle Group in Ethiopia is therefore being viewed as an opportunity to translate these objectives into practical business initiatives.
