LAHORE, Jan 20 (Online): Notification on increase in driving license fees has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
The petition was filed by Ghulam Abbas Haral advocate in LHC Saturday. Care taker Punjab government, IT Punjab and others have been made respondents in the petition.
The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that enhancement in driving license fees runs contrary to law. The caretaker government is not authorized to increase the prices by imposing additional taxes. The caretaker government cannot increase the prices to run daily routine matters.
The petitioner has prayed the court to nullify the notification regarding enhancement in fees of driving licenses besides ordering to issue driving licenses on old fees.
