Gen ® Bajwa raises objection over petition seeking registration of case against him

ISLAMABAD, April 08 (Online): Former army chief Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa has raised objection over the petition seeking registration of case against him in Islamabad High Court (IHC). The petition against Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, former Lt. General (Retd) Faiz Hameed and others for allegedly ‘mis¬representing events’ , violating laws pertaining to retired servicemen by distorting facts of various events during media interviews came up for hearing Monday in IHC.

The court while issuing notice on the application of objections by Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa has sought reply and adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.The counsel for the petitioner took the plea in the court. it was said 6 months earlier that petition has been filed. After 6 months we came to know that the petition has not been received in FIA. The petition which is filed after 6 months it has no value and it should be dismissed.

FIA told the court if the petition has come we will give decision after seeing it as per law. The court directed FIA to decide as per law.The Chief Justice (CJ) IHC remarked it is a common case and it is correct big personalities are there in this case. But FIA has first of all to see if any offence is made out or otherwise. Earlier one case of 22-A had come. Senior judges had issued orders in this case.
