ISLAMABAD, Dec 30 (Online): European Union (EU) Election observer will not come to Pakistan to monitor February 8 election in Pakistan.
EU ambassador in Pakistan Dr Rina Koinika while confirming this information said like people of Pakistan we were also not aware of date for election timely.
Dr Koinika said budget is needed for sending election observers. Time of several months is required in connection with budget.
Dr Koinika said we will send a small group of experts which will comprise electoral experts. It will be different from observer’s mission.
Dr Koinika said the experts cannot determine the election have been held in fair way or otherwise. They also don’t give recommendations.
Election experts’ mission does not bring to fore report without the directives of government.
