DHAKA Nov 10 (Online): One person was killed and several others were injured during a protest by employees of a garment company against non-increase in salaries in Bangladesh.
According to a foreign news agency, Prime Minister Hasina Wajid has rejected the demand to increase the salaries of garment workers.
The police said that the employees of the garment company set fire during the protest against the non-increase in salaries.
More than 100 protesters have been arrested on the charge of Jalaghirao.
According to the police, one person was killed and several others were injured during the protest.
The Bangladeshi government has proposed a minimum wage of 12,500 taka, while the garment workers are demanding that the minimum wage be set at 23,000 taka.
