Islamabad – October 6 (Online): Federal Revenue Minister Shaukat Tarin is expected to visit United States coming week to attend International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s yearly summit.
According to details, virtual negotiations between Pakistan and the IMF are underway currently for issuance of 100 billion dollars’ loan-installment to Pakistan.
According to details, the ongoing session will deal second round of technical talks for the payment of dollar 100 billion installment. Secretary Finance ministry, Additional secretary expenditure and other officials are part of negotiations.
Finance ministry briefed IMF officials on Pakistan’s financial affairs. Negotiations are expected to prolong for a week, sources said.
According to details, deal for payment of 600 billion dollar loan to Pakistan was stuck and finance minister is expected to visit Washington in coming week to attend IMF’s yearly meeting and also negotiate the deal.
