Washington: Crude oil prices rose in the global market amid growing concerns over possible supply disruptions as the United States continued its attacks on Iran for an eleventh consecutive day.
According to Reuters, Brent crude futures gained 1.1%, or $1, reaching $92.01 per barrel in early trading.
US West Texas Intermediate crude also rose by 1%, or 82 cents, to $85.16 per barrel.
Market analysts said the continuing tensions between Iran and the United States had intensified fears of disruptions to global oil supplies, potentially pushing crude prices even higher.
Oil prices subsequently extended their gains, with Brent rising above $94 per barrel later in the session.
