ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has congratulated Amjad Hussain on his election as the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. In his congratulatory message, he also extended his best wishes to Imran Nadeem Shigri on being elected Speaker and Malik Kifayat-ur-Rehman on being elected Deputy Speaker.
The AJK Prime Minister said that the success of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Gilgit-Baltistan is a reflection of public confidence and the result of the effective political leadership and tireless efforts of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.
He expressed hope that the newly elected Chief Minister and his cabinet would work diligently for the development, prosperity, and welfare of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Faisal Mumtaz Rathore stated that the Gilgit-Baltistan elections are a clear manifestation of the people’s trust in the democratic process. He further noted that the peaceful transfer of power is a victory for parliamentary and democratic values and reflects the strengthening of democratic institutions in the country.
