IHC wraps up PTI petition against not according permission it to hold workers convention

ISLAMABAD, Sep 08 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has wrapped up petition filed by PTI against not allowing it to hold workers convention in Convention centre.

The petition was disposed of by a single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah after grant of permission by Islamabad administration to hold workers convention in Convention Centre.

Additional Attorney General (AAG) Munnawar Iqbal appeared in the court Thursday and told that Islamabad administration has accorded permission to PTI to organize workers convention in Convention Centre besides issuing NOC to PTI for this convention.

Counsel for PTI told the court NOC has been received by them. Terms and conditions have also been received. There is our request to court to issue direction for future.

The CJ IHC remarked “ we can not give any direction for future. This is administrative matter . What can happen in future. We don’t know the circumstances. This court will not interfere in the affairs of administration. NOC has been received by you therefore, we are wrapping up petition.

Additional Attorney General said DC has told their application has come on September 5.

The CJ IHC remarked NOC has been received, Therefore, the matter has come to end.
