Punjab would spend Rs400 billion on Universal Health Insurance Program

PINDI GHEB January 27 (Online): Provincial Minister for Revenue Col (retd) Malik Muhammad Anwar Khan has said that about 3 million families of Rawalpindi division will benefit from free medical facilities through New Pakistan National Health Card.

The issuance of health card for the people of Rawalpindi division is a good initiative of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Revenue Minister said that the citizens of Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock and Chakwal districts would benefit from the facility of free treatment of Rs. 1 million per annum. New Pakistan National Health Card for Rawalpindi Division provides treatment facilities in 56 hospitals on city panel.Will be able to He said that Punjab government would spend Rs. 400 billion on Universal Health Insurance Program.

Malik Mohammad Anwar said that by the end of March, every family in Punjab would have access to free treatment through New Pakistan National Health Card. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government believes in public welfare schemes.
