One Friday evening, a father of eight gathered his entire family in the living room.
“Alright, everyone,” he announced, holding a stack of bills. “We need to cut expenses.”
His wife nodded. “Your father is right. We have to be smarter with money.”
The oldest son raised his hand. “I can stop ordering food delivery.”
“Excellent,” said Dad.
The teenage daughter said, “I can cancel two of my streaming subscriptions.”
“Very good,” Dad replied.
Another son said, “I can walk to school instead of taking the bus.”
“Wonderful!”
One by one, the kids offered ways to save money.
Finally, little Tommy, the youngest, stood up proudly.
“I know how we can save the MOST money!”
The whole room turned toward him.
Dad smiled. “That’s my boy. What’s your idea?”
Tommy pointed at his father and said:
“Stop taking Mom out to dinner.”
Dad frowned. “Why would that save the most money?”
Tommy grinned.
“Because every time you two go out, nine months later we get another kid!”
The room exploded with laughter.
Mom nearly fell off the couch laughing.
Dad shook his head and muttered,
“After all these years, apparently the family accountant was the five-year-old.” 😂👨👩👧👦💸
