Frank worked at the neighborhood laundry, where he washed ladies’ garments with such enthusiasm that his wife finally became suspicious.
“You whistle over silk dresses, smile at lace nightgowns, and practically dance while folding lingerie,” she said. “But when I ask you to wash my clothes, you suddenly have a bad back!”
“Darling, that’s completely different,” Frank explained. “At work, I’m a professional.”
“Really? Then tomorrow I’m bringing my clothes to your shop. I expect the full treatment!”
The next evening, she collected her beautifully washed, pressed, and folded garments—and examined the receipt.
“Twenty dollars?” she asked. “You’re charging your own wife?”
“Of course,” Frank said proudly. “You wanted professional service.”
She smiled. “Excellent. Your dinner is forty dollars.”
“FORTY? What happened to the family discount?”
“Oh, that’s included,” she said. “The waitress normally charges extra to listen to you complain!”😂🤣
