SHAWAL Aug 20 (Online): 11 laborers were killed in an explosion in a vehicle carrying laborers in Shawal Tehsil of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, an explosion occurred in a vehicle near Gul Mirkot area of North Waziristan tehsil, as a result of which 11 laborers were killed while three people were missing and two were seriously injured.
DSP Thana Shawal Sherullah said total of 16 laborers were in the vehicle, the injured and dead bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to the hospital administration, the deceased were identified as Mubitullah, Sahab Noor, Jannatullah, Asadullah Khan, Mir Wali Khan, Maqbool Khan, Sher Zahid, Syed Manwar, Mohd Ayaz, Muhammad Wali, Gul Hussain while the injured were I include Umar Zahid, Umar Ayaz.
Sources said that deceased belong to South Waziristan, whose bodies have been shifted to their native areas. On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq and Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the bomb blast for the loss of precious lives and expressed regrets.
