Quetta is located in the northeastern part of Balochistan, near the border with Afghanistan. It sits at an elevation of approximately 1,680 meters (5,510 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest provincial capitals in Pakistan. The city covers an area of about 2,653 square kilometers and is surrounded by picturesque mountains, including the Chiltan, Zarghun, and Takatu ranges.

Infrastructure and Connectivity: Improving infrastructure and connectivity have been key focuses for Quetta’s development. Efforts are being made to enhance road networks, expand public transportation, and upgrade the city’s utilities, including water supply and electricity. The ongoing CPEC project, which includes infrastructure development, has the potential to further boost connectivity and economic growth in Quetta and the surrounding areas.

Quetta, as the capital city of Balochistan, plays a pivotal role in the province’s economic, educational, and cultural landscape. While the city faces security challenges, efforts are underway to enhance development, promote tourism, and improve the quality of life for its residents.
