Wife of Fawad Chaudhry disqualified to contest election

RAWALPINDI, Jan 06 (Online): Wife of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has been declared disqualified to contest election.

On coming to open the 3 foreign visits and 9 bank accounts of Hiba Chaudhry wife of Fawad Chaudhry, Election Tribunal (ET) has declared Hiba Chaudhry disqualified for contesting election from provincial assembly constituency of Jhelum.

The ET has declared the objections against Hiba Chaudhry correct.
FIA presented bank record of foreign visits of Hiba Chaudhry and state bank submitted her bank accounts record.
ET has summoned Fawad Chaudhry as well.

The order of approval of Fawad Chaudhry nomination papers from NA-60 and 61 has also been withdrawn.

Fawad Chaudhry concealed the bank accounts, assets and foreign trips of his wife in documents.

ET while issuing notice to Fawad Chaudhry for January 9 has said as to why he should not be declared disqualified for concealing facts.

The sword of disqualification hangs on Fawad Chaudhry following the withdrawal of approval of his nomination papers.
