ISLAMABAD, AUG 29 (Online): Election Commission (EC) while expressing annoyance over non filing of reply by the counsel of Imran Khan in Tosha Khana reference has adjourned the hearing of the case till September 07.
The EC directed counsel for Imran Khan to file the reply before next hearing of the case.
The case seeking disqualification of Imran Khan in Tosha Khana reference came up for hearing before a five members bench of EC presided over by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC)
The petitioner Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha, barrister Ali Gauhar counsel for PTI chairman and Khalid Ishaq counsel for Speaker National Assembly (NA) appeared before EC Monday.
Counsel for Imran Khan sought two weeks more time for filing reply and told the EC they were busy in FIA case therefore, they could not file reply.
CEC said this is the matter of record. Why so much time is being spent. He directed counsel for PTI chairman to file the reply before next hearing.

Talking to media men outside EC office, PML-N leader Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha said all the papers are part of election commission record. PTI itself has filed declaration of assets in EC wherein Imran Khan has concealed his gifts.
Tell us what papers are needed by Imran Khan, he questioned. My rival counsel approached me a day before saying more time is needed. I said I am not in EC that I should give time. PTI deliberately delays its cases. Earlier foreign funding case was delayed for 8 years.
He claimed Imran Khan sold out watches through his friends. The price of highly precious things was shown highly less.
Imran Khan was given the certificate of Sadiq and Amin, he said. If Imran Khan proves the allegations leveled against him as wrong, I will quit the politics. .
Next time Imran Khan will say in EC that offices of his accountant and counsel have been swept away in the flood. Therefore he cannot file reply. He is exploring avenue to escape but we will not allow him to run.
