Those behind causing loss to national economy will be held accountable: PM

ISLAMABAD, April 26 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said those who have caused loss to economy will be held accountable.

” I am sure that boat of economy will reach the bank with collective efforts. Those behind causing loss to the economy will be held accountable. We will bring million of rupees earned by FBR to national kitty at every cost. If we fail to do so then we have no right to stay in government. Committee will submit report on the matter of track and trace system within 72 hours, he said this while talking in the meeting of federal cabinet here Friday.

He held we are pursuing the agenda of improvement in economy.

He held the government is rigorously pursuing the agenda of economic reforms to steer the country out of prevailing challenges.
He remarked the reports of international financial institutions and journals showing positive and upward trajectory about Pakistan’s economy is a testimony of the prudent policies of the incumbent government.
The Prime Minister said our IT Exports have been recorded all times high, foreign remittances and overall exports of the country have also witnessed surge and credit of all this goes to the sitting government.
He observed foreign investment from our friendly countries including Saudi Arabia is also increasing which would have positive impact on our economy.

Our exports and remittances have gone up. The economic situation has improved due to our about two months efforts, he underlined.

Shehbaz Sharif said the government is also implementing a comprehensive policy and taking steps to reduce electricity theft and lowering its prices. He, however, said we have not only to take difficult decision, but to safeguard them in the interest of country.
The Prime Minister said the Track and Trace System introduced in 2019 was a complete fraud and cruel joke. He categorically stated that stern action would be taken against those who inflicted loss on the national economy.
He stated decisions have been taken on curbing power theft and transmission lines.

This track and trace was nothing else than complete fraud. No considerable benefit was accrued to us due to track and trace system of cigarettes. What will be more dishonesty than this penalty clause has not been inserted in the agreement . I have never seen the agreement like track and trace system in my life.
