Sheikh Rashid challenges in IHC the summons issued by Aabpara police

ISLAMABAD, FEB 01 (Online): Sheikh Rashid has challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC| the summons issued by Aabpara police to him.

Sheikh Rashid has filed petition through his counsels Naeem Haider Panjotha and Intizar Hussain Panjotha in this regard.

He has taken the plea in the petition the threats from interior minister Rana Sana Ullah are coming to him too. Police have no authority to issue such notice prior to FIR. Police issued the notice in illegal way.

He prayed the court to restrain the police from harassing him.

The IG Islamabad and SHO have been made respondents in the petition.

It is pertinent to mention here Aabpara police had summoned Sheikh Rashid in the matter of leveling allegations regarding murder of Imran Khan.

The petitioner requested the court to nullify the police notice.

Sheikh Rashid said in his statement on twitter that “ I stand by my statement Imran Khan says correct that Asif Zardari wants to get him killed. Imran Khan is facing serious life threats.

He said his counsel Naeem Haider filed the statement in police station which police are refusing to receive it.
