Punjab CM’s aide says Nishtar Hospital’s crew responsible for bodies’ mishap

LAHORE / MULTAN – October 19 (ONLINE) Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor Tariq Zaman said Wednesday Nishtar Hospital’s crew and administration was responsible for the dead bodies’ mistreatment.

Earlier, decomposing bodies were found on Friday on the roof of Nishtar Hospital in Multan, prompting the provincial government to form a body to investigate the matter.

The incident shook the nation, as speculations emerged regarding the issue. Later, an investigating body was found and as per body’s findings, two heads of hospital’s departments as well as several cops were suspended from their duties.

On Wednesday, Zaman said Nishtar Hospital carries record of every dead body and anybody could check into the official record. He said that strict action had already been taken against the responsible for the mistreatment of corpses.
