ISLAMABAD, June 28 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has sought new panel of names for appointment of chairman NAB.
PM has directed his secretary Tauqir Shah to provide him names of neutral person for this slot.
According to sources only one meeting has taken place between PM and opposition leader Raja Riaz on the matter related to chairman NAB but no name was given by opposition leader for chairman NAB post.
After the arrival of new names, PM will make consultations with allied parties. Later consultation will be made with opposition leader.
The government has however directed deputy chairman Zahir Shah to continue to work as acting chairman NAB at present.
Sources said Balochistan Awami Party has proposed the name of Justice (Retd) Ahmad Lashari and Justice (Retd) Ghulam Azam Qambrani as chairman NAB.
