Islamabad, Nov 30 (Online): The Federal Cabinet was informed on Wednesday that sufficient reserves of wheat are available in the county to meet demands of the people.
This was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, while briefing media in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon about the decisions taken by the Federal Cabinet, which met in the Federal Capital with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair.
She said country has more reserves of wheat in comparison with the last year. The Minister said that current reserves are two percent higher than the previous year.
She said efficient planning of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research has ensured that there should not be any food crisis in the country.
The Minister said the cabinet also approved sale of a building owned by the Foreign Ministry in Washington.
She said there had been two buildings under the use of Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington in 2010 and the government of Pakistan had approved their renovation.
Talking about the issue of Bhara Kahu Bypass and the Quaid-i-Azam University, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that all the stakeholders have agreed to sort out this matter with consensus.
She said the cabinet approved the report of the committee, constituted by the Prime Minister, which will be submitted to the Islamabad High Court for final decision.
Responding to a question, she said PTI Chief Imran Khan wanted to create political instability in the country. She said PTI representatives in the National Assembly are drawing their salaries even after tendering their resignations.
