Notification on success of Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar in NA-127 challenged

LAHORE, March 28 (Online): The notification regarding success of PML-N leader and information minister Atta Ullah Tarar from NA-127 Lahore has been challenged. The notification has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) .
Like wise notification of success of PML-N MPA Sami Ullah from PP-145 Lahore of Punjab Assembly (PA) has also been challenged in LHC.

Election Commission (EC) and others have been made respondents in election petitions.
Justice Sultan Tanvir of Election Tribunal (ET) will hear both the petitions.
Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidate Zahir Abbas Khokhar has challenged the notification.

Muhammad Yasir has challenged the notification of success of Sami Ullah from PP-145.
On the other hand EC rejected the plea for recounting of votes in NA-148 Multan.
In this regard barrister Taimore Altaf and Malik Ahmad Hussain had filed petitions. A 3-member bench of Election Commission under member of Sindh gave decision and upheld the success of Yousuf Raza Gillani from NA-148.
EC has issued written decision in this respect wherein the EC rejected the plea for recounting and correction of result.

EC said that as per RO report correct result was issued and form 47 was issued as per form 45. The petitioner can resort to election tribunal.
