ISLAMABAD, March 06 (Online): PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman have expressed their concern over non deciding the cases against Imran Khan early.
Sources said Maulana Fazlur Rehman has made telephonic contact with Nawaz Sharif and the two have exchanged views at length in the prevailing political situation in the country.
Both of them expressed their apprehensions with reference to election for provincial assemblies of Punjab and KP.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed Nawaz Sharif about his stance on polls in KP and Punjab for provincial assemblies besides stressing on taking decisions under joint strategy.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the election will be suspicious and controversial without population census and new delimitation of constituencies.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman while giving advice said federal government should resort to Supreme Court and election commission as respondent in this regard.
Nawaz Sharif listened to the reservations of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and agreed over his demands.
Nawaz Sharif held out assurance that he would talk to Asif Zardari and Shahbaz Sharif on this matter.
Both the leaders demanded that cases against Imran Khan be decided soon.
The two leaders expressed concern over court relief granted to Imran Khan.
