ISLAMABAD, Jul 30 :Flash floods and torrential rains since June 26 have damaged 1,579 houses—1,040 partially and 539 completely—while 372 livestock have perished, according to latest data released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
In Punjab, 211 houses were affected—210 partially and one completely—alongside the loss of 121 livestock. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded damage to 305 houses, with 213 partially and 92 fully destroyed, and 135 livestock losses.
Sindh witnessed the destruction of 87 homes, including 54 partial and 33 complete losses, with 85 livestock fatalities.
Balochistan reported 80 damaged houses—69 partially and 11 completely—without any livestock casualties. Gilgit-Baltistan experienced extensive damage, with 533 houses impacted (191 partial and 342 complete) and 17 livestock lost. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 307 houses were damaged (248 partially, 59 completely), and 14 livestock perished.
The Islamabad Capital Territory saw 56 houses affected—55 partially and one completely—with no reported loss of livestock.
