LHC moved for restoration of position of Nawaz Sharif as PML-N president

LAHORE, MAY 29 (ONLINE): Petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking restoration of position of Nawaz Sharif as president of PML-N.

The petition has been filed by Afaq Ahmad taking the plea that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified in 2017 from National Assembly (NA). Imran Khan,Sheikh Rashid and Siraj ul Haq had filed petition against him. The court issued order in 2018 for removing Nawaz Sharif from presidentship of PML-N.

Plea has been taken in the petition Imran Khan was disqualified from NA-95 Mianwali. Sheikh Rashid and Siraj ul Haq supported Imran Khan.

He said Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid and Siraj ul Haq remained no more Sadiq and Amin. The court should issue order for restoring Nawaz Sharif position as president of PML-N.
