LAHORE, May 29 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) while issuing notice to Election Commission (EC) and other respondents on the petition seeking removal of Punjab care taker government has sought reply from them.
A single bench of LHC led by Justice Shahid Karim took up for hearing petition filed by advocate Zaman Virdig.
The petitioner has challenged that care taker government is dealing with the official matters despite expiry of its tenure.
The court directed that this petition be clubbed with the petitions of the identical nature and be presented for hearing before it.
The petitioner took the plea care taker government was appointed for 90 days. The constitutional position of care taker government and cabinet remains no more after lapse of 90 days.
The petitioner prayed the court to issue order for removing care taker Punjab government from office.
