LAHORE, February 28 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed contempt of court petition filed by PTI backed candidate Suleman Akram Raja against Returning Officer (RO) of NA -128. Justice Baqar Ali Najafi announced reserved judgment regarding petition of Suleman Akram Raja.
The court while announcing reserved judgment dismissed Suleman Akram Raja petition declaring it non-maintainable.
It is pertinent to mention here LHC had reserved judgment on contempt of court plea of Suleman Akram Raja on February 21 after hearing arguments.
The petitioner had said that RO had not given notice on the occasion of preparation of form 48 despite assurance.
Suleman Akram Raja had requested that contempt of court proceedings be initiated against RO for not complying with court’s order.
