ISLAMABAD, FEB 14 (ONLINE): Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar has taken oath as the Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court at a ceremony in Islamabad.
Oath taking ceremony was held in Aiwan-e-Sadr Friday.
President Asif Ali Zardari administered oath to him.
Under article 194 of the constitution, president earlier administered oath to chief justice only but after 26th constitutional amendment, president administered oath to chief justice of Islamabad High Court.
Oath to chief justices of other high courts will be administered only by governor.
Justice Sarfraz Dogar had heard the cases as acting chief justice on Thursday.
