ISLAMABAD, August 15 (Online):Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted protective bail for 14 days to Atta Tarar, special assistant to Prime Minister.
The case was heard by acting Chief Justice (CJ) of IHC Amir Farooq on Monday.
The counsel for Atta Tarar told the court “ I want to appear to resort to the respective court of Lahore. Therefore, protective bail be granted.
The court while accepting plea of Atta Tarar restrained the police from arresting him.
It may be mentioned that Atta Tarar had filed petition seeking protective bail in the case registered in Qilla Gujjar Singh police station against him in connection with arrest and violence against PTI workers on the occasion of May 25 Long March.
