ISLAMABAD – February 7 (ONLINE): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified PTI candidate and brother of Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gligit Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, Umar Amin Gandapur for the position of Dera Ismail Khan Mayor.
According to the verdict of ECP, actions will be taken against Ali Amin Gandapur for violating code of conduct. Now, PTI candidate will not be able to contest elections for the position of Dera Ismail Khan Mayor.
Umar Amin has also been prohibited to run election campaigns.
ECP has ended restriction on Ali Ameen Gandapur of going to Dera Ismail Khan. He would be allowed to participate in domestic functions.
